Samsung DVD Player NO DISC Error

NO DISC error showing on the display.

If you are getting the dreaded "NO DISC" error when you insert any DVD, then chances are that the laser has failed. This is a very typical fault seen on many DVD players.

The fact is that laser diodes have a finite lifetime, and eventually they die. The CD player uses the laser to detect if there is a CD in the tray. If the laser does not work, then it will simply tell you that there is no disc in the tray.

This error can also happen if the lens is dirty. For example, if the player has been sitting gathering dust, then cleaning the lens might help.

The best advice is to use a professional lens cleaning CD to clean the laser-focusing lens. If that does not solve the issue then the good news is that now is the opportunity to buy the latest Blu-ray player! There are some great deals on-line.
