Marantz HDAM Modules

HDAM (High Definition Amplifier Module) invented by the Marantz Company of Japan consists of fully discrete copper shielded output stage. Its purpose is to provide the widest bandwidth and lowest noise possible for any audio amplifier.
Inside the copper shielding there is a discrete amplifier circuit consisting of transistors, resistors, and capacitors. MOSFET transistors providing the best in audio quality drive the audio power output stage.
Copper shielded amplifier modules also exist on the audio board, and this too is capable of providing the best audio quality sound.

The copper shielded modules on this HDAM PCB have transistors to form a discrete amplifier circuit.

It is very impressive and neat looking. Those NASA engineers will be getting ideas from looking at this design. Perhaps a high-end CD player for the ISS, made completely out of copper parts...
