200 in One Electronic Project Lab IC

The 200 in One Electronic Project Lab has two integrated circuits (IC) consisting of 7400N, and SN7476N.

7474 or SN7476N

The SN7476N is the same as the 7474 as they are both dual j-k flip-flops with preset and clear. The IC package contains two independent D-type positive-edge-triggered flip-flops.

J-K flip-flops are usually used for counter applications in digital electronics. It requires two inputs namely J and K, and a clock signal. The binary values at J and K transfer over to the Q outputs on the positive edge of the clock pulse. The preset and clear must remain high during this time, as they have to be inactive.

Four NAND Gates

The 7400 IC has four independent NAND gates. Each gate has two inputs and one output and provides the NAND Boolean logic.
