Modifying Apple G3 CD-Rom Cage

Modifying an Apple G3 involved cutting the large part of the CD-ROM and floppy disk cage. This alteration was necessary because the ATX style motherboard usually has memory and drive sockets in that region.

To remove the drive cage one first has to remove the white and blue plastic to reveal the metal case. As you can see, it was cheaply riveted together, and the drive cage pulls out from the front after you undo two obvious looking screws.
