The AMD Athlon X4 950 is a 3.5-GHz quad core processor with maximum boost (turbo) speed of 3.8-GHz, and launched in 2017. I installed it in my PC on March 2022 and it did not meet the Microsoft Windows 11 system requirements.

Quad Core Processor

I thought this was a delightfully simple low-power (65-watts TDP) quad core processor that suited my word processing needs. It has one disadvantage such as not having a built-in GPU, which means a graphics card will need to be installed in one of the PCIe slots. However, if you already had a good graphics card, and were planning to use Windows 10, then it is a very cost-effective processor worth considering. I didn’t find any problems with it in my PC and it worked smoothly without any issues.
