Olympus OM20 Battery

The Olympus OM20 battery can be either LR44, or SR44. You will need to insert a pair of button cell batteries with their negative terminals facing down. It is worth noting that without sufficient battery power, the shutter and film advance lever will appear jammed.

Make sure the battery cover has a clean thread so that it makes a proper reliable electrical connection.

You should hear a continuous tone for the battery check function. If you do not hear one, then loosen the battery cap slightly, because sometimes the thread makes a better electrical connection in certain positions.
