JVC 9475 Drive Belts

The tape transport mechanism of the JVC 9475S is extremely reliable, and this one still has the original belts from the 70s that still work. This mechanism has auto shutoff capability, which trips the stop function when the tape reaches the end. This function also works for fast-forward and rewind modes.

The main belt is approximately 26 cm in circumference, and the ideal thickness would be approximately 1.2 mm. The pulleys can also take thicker belts and anything up to 2 mm would work fine if not better.

The secondary belt is for the auto shutoff system and is approximately 10 cm in circumference. The thickness requirement would be the same as that for the main belt.

This is the counter mechanism belt, which connects around the spool spindle pulley.
