Thyristor Torch Circuit Using PTB Switch

In this thyristor torch circuit, we use a push to break (PTB) switch 2 to cut the power to the thyristor component. This is an alternative way to stop it from conducting. A push to break switch is one that remains connected all the time but breaks the electrical connection for a moment upon pressing.
