Bush Wave Boombox

The Wave Boombox is a CD player with FM Radio manufactured in China by the Bush Corporation for Argos. It is available through the eBay, Argos, and Amazon online outlets at a sale price and worth seeing. These are available in four bright colours; however, the pink and red usually sell quicker. This unit is 275 mm × 227.5 mm × 100 mm in size, and mass of 0.8 kg. It takes six "C" size batteries, but can also accept power through the supplied 9 V adapter. The unit boasts a 3.5 mm headphone socket, which provides a limited output of 90 mV. There is also an auxiliary input socket so you can feed a signal from your MP3 player into it for amplification. The audio output is 3-watts rms, which is 4-watts peak, or 6-watts PMPO. The total power consumption is 15 W.

Although the case is plastic, the finishing quality is excellent. The surface is extremely shiny and bright, and reminiscent of the Sony "My First" series aimed for children.

This unit will only play CD-R and CD-RW media. It must have audio tracks formatted to the CD-DA standard.

This unit has a backlit display, which is extremely clear from all angles. I am sure that people who wear glasses will find this aspect very useful.
