The flat belt is 4 mm wide and approximately 0.3 mm in thickness. Based on my calculations and measurements using string, a belt with circumference of 216 mm could work, which is approximately 68 mm diameter. I could not find any generic belts that were 4 mm wide, and this parameter is critical since any smaller widths could cause the belt to creep on the motor pulley. In the end, I bought a belt on eBay from a seller in Europe for approximately twelve Euros.

A common mistake people make when replacing the 4 mm wide flat belt is to stretch it around both of the large plastic pulleys. If you installed it that way, then the auto reverse will not work. As you can see, the belt goes around only one pulley and touches approximately a quarter-arc of the other pulley.

The square cut belt requires installation first, and then the flat belt.
