Sony SmartWatch 2 Battery Replacement

The SmartWatch 2 (SW2) battery replacement first involves disassembling the watch. It will also involve desoldering the two battery wires. Inside, there is a 3.7 V 225 mAh capacity Li-ion rechargeable battery with the following written upon it.

Some of the most important parameters are the voltage and approximate dimensions (33 mm x 19.5 mm x 3.5 mm). I could not find a cheap original replacement battery but managed to find a large number of generic 3.7 V batteries on the auction site. These generic batteries are usually used in Smartwatch clones and I managed to find one that was the correct voltage and small enough to fit. If it arrives from China, and if it works, then I shall write about it here.

As you can see, there is double-sided tape to secure the battery in place. I gently eased the battery out with minimal force.
