Sony TC-153SD Speaker

The TC-153SD has a 100 mm diameter speaker with an 8-Ω coil. A split-phase transformer T302 drives the loudspeaker, and a three-transistor circuit forming the power output stage drives the transformer. The circuit provides an output of 1.5 W when powered through the mains cord, and 0.8 W when powered by the batteries. The sound is loud and very clear, as there is also a tone control at the front.
