Palm IIIe Electronic Engineering

The Palm IIIe has a precise and accurate build quality and the main circuit board is double-sided. The DragonBall EZ processor, mask ROM, and 2 MB memory IC, are on the other side of the board. You can see more of those components in the following pages of this multi-page article. This side of the board has the SIPEX SP385ACA IC, which is a 3 V to 5 V RS232 line driver/receiver used for serial communication with a computer.
