Palm IIIe Serial Port

The Palm IIIe uses the SP385ACA (also known as SP385A) 3 V to 5 V RS-232 line driver/receiver IC for the serial communications. This is a low power CMOS device with 5 mA operation and therefore ideal for portable battery-powered applications. This package requires capacitors for the internal voltage doubler and voltage inverter circuitry. There are plenty of serial port hack guides and therefore I will not be showing any.
