Sony TC-158SD Auto Shut-Off Mechanism
The TC-158SD has a greatly improved automatic shut-off mechanism. In the previous versions it relied on a clutch type system to transfer a part of the drive torque to the shut-off mechanism, however, in this unit, the mechanism has a dedicated drive belt and pulley. It is able to take the drive torque directly from the main motor. The mechanism itself is also greatly improved, and as well as operating in play mode, it operates in fast-forward and rewind modes as well.
