Palm Vx Battery E17A

The Palm Vx battery is model E17A, which is a rechargeable lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 650 mAh. It provides a voltage of 3.7 V, and it is slim measuring only 5 mm in thickness, with dimensions 50 mm × 23 mm × 5 mm.

The Socket

Since the wires terminate with a socket, it is a simple matter of unplugging the wire to remove the battery.

Management Circuit

All lithium-ion batteries require a management circuit to operate safely. This battery is over 12-years old and is the original factory fitted one. It has a management circuit on the outside covered over with black tape. Over the years electronics have progressed somewhat, and modern replacement batteries have incorporated this circuit inside the battery enclosure.

Replacement Battery

Many online sellers sell replacement batteries for this old Palm Vx, and the good news is that since this is an old product, the batteries are much cheaper. I managed to buy the replacement E17A battery from an online shop listed on Google.
